Adolf Rau, Eine-Welt-Gruppe Wardenburg, at the New Year's reception 1999 of the former President of the Federal Republic of Germany in Berlin.  According to his outstanding engagement for projects in Nepal, Adolf Rau was invited by the former President Roman Herzog and his wife Christiane to Schloss Bellvue (http://www.bundespraesident.de/homepage.htm), Berlin, Jan. 12, 1999. The Eine-Welt-Gruppe Wardenburg e.V. has been supporting several projects in Nepal, such as a fair trade project for carpets in Tahara, a living center for the blind in Lahan, the Polythechnic in Kathmandu, an educational center for young girls, which also has been supported by the President's wife, Mrs. Christiane Herzog, and the solar community kitchen at the Modern Preparatory Secondary Boarding School (MPSBS) at Itahari (http://spot.fho-emden.de/hp/weiler/itahari.html).
